FAQ
Common Questions
Picking a care home is a big decision. Here are the questions we hear most often. If yours isn't answered, contact us and we'll be happy to help .
What is a specialty care home?
A specialty care home (sometimes called an adult foster home or residential care home) is a small, licensed home that cares for a limited number of residents. Compared to a traditional nursing home, it feels much more like a real household — with home-cooked meals, familiar caregivers, and quieter routines.
Where are you located?
We're located in Grants Pass, Oregon. We serve families throughout the Rogue Valley, including Medford, Central Point, and surrounding communities.
How many residents do you care for at one time?
Each of our homes cares for just five residents. With 2 to 3 care team members in the home, we can spend real one-on-one time with residents — not just rush from room to room.
What kind of care do you provide?
We provide assistance with:
- Daily living
- Memory support
- Medication management
- Mobility help
- Nutrition
- Diabetes monitoring
- Wound care
- Neurological support
- End-of-life care
Medication support is provided by trained medical tech staff. We coordinate with hospice and outside therapists as needed.
How much does it cost?
We serve the Medicaid population. If you have Medicaid, talk to your case manager. We can also discuss long-term care insurance, VA benefits, and other options families commonly use.
How does intake work?
We start with a phone call to understand your loved one's needs. From there we'll arrange a visit, review care plans, and coordinate with their doctor and current care team. We move at your family's pace — there's no pressure.
Can family visit anytime?
Yes. We encourage family involvement. We just ask that visits respect rest times and other residents' routines.
Do you accept hospice?
Yes. We work alongside local hospice teams to keep residents at home and comfortable through end of life.
How do I take the next step?
Call us at 541-659-7887 or send a message through our contact form. We typically respond the same day.
